Kiara doesn't seem to like it much either, judging by the expression in the last panel. Not too surprising though, given we've seen no sign that she enjoys her work - she seems to tolerate it at most.
Unfortunately, her personal feelings probably mean little when it comes to her station in life. She's most likely seen as the bottom rung in society, in the same caste as thieves and lunatics. And she's in a profession where if she suddenly has ill fortune befall her (as in something quite bad), how many people are going to care?
And even if she wanted to leave that profession, the taint would never wash off, as it were. She's pretty much trapped, a situation millions of women in the past have experiences and still do.
Well said. Even with her not liking it there leaving is much more dangerous. Girl in her cast will not be hired for anything expect this. Become beggar or keep doing the job by yourself outside this brothel, which is so much more dangerous

I wish she could just escape.
